Features to consider when selecting your fridge freezer include:

• Is it a frost-free model? These appliances circulate air through themselves to prevent frost build up. The results? Well in theory you never have to defrost it! Sounds good to me.
• The split between the space available in the frozen section versus that available in the fresh food section can vary a lot between models. The amount of each type of food that you wish to store should therefore be taken into account when making your selection.
• As with all appliances you ought to be looking at the energy rating. Not only are the more efficient models better for the environment, they are also considerably kinder to your bank balance.
• If you feel you have the need for chilled water always available or even chilled wine for that matter then you may require some of the more luxurious features available. If this sounds like you, do be careful that you are left with enough space inside for what could be termed the more essential items.
• The external size of the product is of course a potentially major decision factor. These devices do come in a range of widths, so make sure you one you buy fits in the gap left by the old one if you are upgrading.
